YOLO Breastfeeding offers virtual classes designed to help families feel informed, prepared, and confident as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and infant feeding. Our classes create a welcoming space for learning, discussion, and questions. Supporting families with evidence-based information while honoring individual values and experiences.
All classes are currently offered virtually, making it easier for parents, partners, and caregivers to participate from the comfort of home.

Classes are available at no cost for Flint and Genesee County families through grant funding.
Available Classes
All classes listed below are offered virtually and led by an IBCLC, childbirth and health educator who understands the realities of pregnancy, birth, and early parenting.
Breastfeeding Class
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
Whether you’re a first-time parent or starting over, this class is designed to meet you where you are. You’ll have space to ask questions, learn what to expect, and build confidence in your feeding journey. We recommend having your partner or support person attend as well.
This class includes helpful visuals and take-home resources to support learning and retention.

Caregiver Class
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
This class is designed for caregivers (including grandparents, family members, and daycare providers) who support nursing babies. They will learn how to support breastfeeding families in ways that align with their goals and preferences.

Childbirth Education Class
Duration: 3 sessions | 2 hours each
This childbirth education class helps families understand how the body prepares for birth and how to advocate for the birth experience they desire. You will also learn what to expect during labor, birth, and the early postpartum period.

Childbirth Education Refresher Class
Duration: 1.5 hours
This class is ideal for families looking for a different birth experience than they’ve had before, or for those wanting updated information since their last delivery. Partner or support person are encouraged to attend.
